Working on the BMR site

Well, I have been real busy for the last 2 weeks. I remembered that I wanted to try and update my blog more frequently so this is an attempt at doing that.

There is always so much to do, but I think It's better that way then not having projects.

I'm posting a background image for the site - we'll see how it looks - it's a rather large background.

Happy New Year

Hello Everyone -

This is going to be a great year. I have to set up a new 2010 folder for design work - that's always fun.

Anyway everyone be well and I look forward to further posts.

Before I leave I want to post some resolutions:

1. More Updates To Blog

2. Learn more Development Skills

3. Typography!

4. More Gym -

5. Less Beers

6. Take more photos (get camera)

Perodic Table of Typo-

I saw this in an article called: 10 Essential Skills Every Graphic Designer Should Have!

iPhone Pedal Power + Bike Mount

This is the new combo that will soon be sweeping the globe! - or at least the parts that have fixed gear bikes!

Seriously though, this is a very eco-friendly pairing, the only problem is that you may kill your self.

Browsershots.org

This is really a very cool thing that I have found for testing a web-site on many different platforms and operating systems. It allows the user to select from a list of 50+ scenarios where your page might be rendered.

I'm not expecting much from ie6 - but at least I will be able to see if there are any patterns.

School Supply - Vector Pack

So a little while ago I did some concepts for AI - The Illinois Institute of Art. I would like to share some of the vectors that I created!

This pack is available for download as a photoshop file with "smart objects" embedded.

What this means, in case you didn't know, just double click the layer in Photoshop and it will open up in Illustrator, or just use it as you wish within Photshop, and the graphics will be crisp no matter how they are sized!

included:

  • Cassette
  • Sharpee
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Compass
  • Eraser

PS3 - Slim - Pictures (so cool)

This is so cool...

ps3 slim

The thing is a third of the size, uses a third of the power, and cost $299!

Foster Ave. Lake Shore & Mohawk Ironworkers

The recently completed Lake Shore Drive Underpass on Foster is very interesting, if not somewhat eyebrow raising if you have looked into the past history of Native Americans in Chicago specifically In the Uptown area. The population was created starting with the Federal Governments relocation program.
